Miscellaneous

Long-tailed Tit
Lesser Whitethroat
Tufted Duck - instead of East Park Egyptian Goose
Tufted Duck - Canal Scrape, Spurn
ditto
Record shot of Short-eared Owl - west of Sammy's Point

The last 3 days have been very overcast, and drizzly at times. These represent the best images I've been able to capture in these conditions. I've processed them in a different way & made an adjustment to my camera, which I hope will pay dividends when the lighting conditions are better. The best bird this morning at Spurn was a Grasshopper Warbler heard (just - above Andy Gibson's engine!) near the warren - thanks to Geoff Dobbs & Andy Roadhouse. I may have seen the back end of a Ring Ouzel, but the sighting wasn't good enough to be sure. An Arctic Skua was seen at the point, whilst several Arctic Terns were spotted over the Humber, as were c.3 Goosanders. A young male Marsh Harrier and a Short-eared Owl were the best raptors on show. Fingers-crossed that the weather will pick up soon!
