Sorry, I don't know what's wrong with this keyboard, that should read a Gropper behind the Boatshed, but to non-experts, it will make more sense to say a Grasshopper Warbler was behind the Boatshed. This is an new species for the site, as far as I know, and the Wheatear is another one. The Yellow Wagtail, the Red-legged Partridge and a Hare were on the approach road before anyone else arrived, and we didn't see any of these species later! Apart from the Grasshopper Warbler at least 2 different Cuckoos were seen in the morning, but only a distant one was heard in the afternoon. The Turtle Doves, Linnets and Sedge Warblers showed better after lunch, but the Reed warblers were heard only in both sessions. A 4-Spotted Chaser was seen along the 'Path of Brian', but that was the only dragonfly. Butterflies were better represented with Peacock, Orange-Tips, a Holly Blue and a Small Copper. Unfortunately, the Osprey we saw 2 years ago, didn't put in a repeat appearance!
