Not an Easy Week for Photography

The weather was quite appalling for most of last week, so my camera remained unused until Friday.  On Tuesday because of the frost and overnight snow we had to relocate to the local country park for the confiding Bullfinches.  On Wednesday we had our last visit of 2015 to North Duffield Carrs.  This was frozen over, so there were very few wildfowl, so we had to make do with 2 female Stonechats, and a Peregrine attacking a Marsh Harrier.  On Thursday the forecast was for very occasional showers, but it rained all day.  the Bittern was the highlight of the day, but the camera was kept safely in the car.  Friday's location was too far in the dodgy weather conditions, so another visit to the country park was called for.  This time the light was perfect.  We started well with a very confiding Treecreeper, which stayed with us for about 10 minutes,  A few minutes later we came across two very confiding Goldcrests.  The Bullfinches were slow in coming down, but they did eventually get very close to us.  On the way out we popped down to the foreshore and saw a Curlew and a Redshank, whilst on Tuesday we'd seen Ringed Plovers and Dunlin on the same bit of mud.

I'm hoping for nicer weather in the week ahead
