This morning I went to Kilnsea early to see a large crowd assembled near the Canal Scrape car park. The bird was very obliging at first, but eventually went into cover.

Last week a class member went to Norfolk in the hope of finding second brood Swallowtails. This came to nothing, but he had a nice surprise on the chimney tops.

Yesterday, we had another juvenile Cuckoo at home. The second one in just over a fortnight. I was able to park up on Walnut path and watch it feeding. A couple of times it came quite near the car. This morning because it was clear overnight it had gone.
