An early start to rendezvous with Spurn at High Tide. Quite good views of waders, but it was cloudy and even misty at times. The Chiffchaff near the Canal Scrape hide was a delightful, if elusive presence. The male Linnets aren't yet as red as they will be in a few weeks' time, so will try for them at a later date. I'm still waiting to see my first Yellow Wagtail of the year. Whilst there were 6 Swallows on a line at Far Ings yesterday, there was no sign of any hirundines at Spurn between 7 & 9 am!
