Snuck Out to Donna Nook

I hadn't been to Donna Nook for a few years, so I thought it was about time I checked it out.  More than 900 pups have already been born, so the record of 1000+ could well be soon overtaken this year.  There seemed to be many more seals lying on the eastern side than other years.  Birds seen included Pied Wagtail, Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Golden Plover, Lapwing, Shelduck, Great Black Backed Gull, Redshank, Knot and Pink-footed Geese could be heard, but not seen.  I don't remember planes letting off flares before, but it happened continuously this morning.
