Waxwings and Seal Pups

I haven't been to Donna Nook since the tidal surge, so I remedied that on Tuesday morning.  On the way back I revisited the Waxwings when the light was better to take photos.  On Sunday morning it was so dark, there wasn't any point staying.  On Tuesday the number of Waxwings had dropped from the original nine to only four.  They were spending long periods in their digestion tree and only popping down to their berries for a quick smash and grab every 20 minutes or so.  I stayed for nearly an hour, and did manage to get a few pleasing photos.

Before the Waxwings there was the Donna Nook visit.  There weren't too many people around at first, but there seems to have been a large increase in seal numbers since my last visit.  The young seals had probably gone past their most photogenic phase.   Most of the bulls were further out, but some of the females (cows) nearer the fences were straying on to each other's territories.  One pup seemed to want to  pair up with another, but it didn't receive a very friendly reception.  I'm not sure how the encounter ended.
