At long last it almost feels as if spring is just around the corner. Violets are in flower, Red Kites are carrying nesting material, and female Adders are basking in the sun on the rare days when that golden orb deigns to appear! Hopefully, this isn't temporary, and soon the woods will be flooded with the song of the Chiffchaff, and Sand Martins appearing over water. Things can only get better, can't they, for a while at least! Tony Robinson ensured things got better after his class the other day, by going to see an alleged local Little Owl & there it was staring right at him! Shame it wasn't there to enliven the actual birdwatching session!

Some amazing pictures ~ the detail on the adder is incredible. We were watching Red Kites at the w/e in Carmarthenshire.

Thanks. Just relieved the long winter seems to be nearly over at last!
