Large Skipper (male)

This venue is normally very reliable at this time of year, but there were no Kingfishers this time, and the numbers of butterflies and damselflies were a lot lower than last year. A Buzzard passing over east was the first seen by the groups at this location, but no sign of the usual Marsh Harrier or occasional Barn Owl. A doe Roe Deer and her kid were a nice surprise for the morning group. Willow Tit was present and a recently fledged family of Marsh Tits. Overall a rather disappointing day.
