Specials re-Start

As small groups are allowed once more 3 Students plus myself met at Alkborough Flats on Wednesday.  We were due to be at a Butterfly venue, but drizzle was forecast.  Luckily, we did change and it rained almost all the morning.  Despite this we had an extremely close encounter with a Grasshopper Warbler, a flying Bittern and nearly a score of Spoonbills.

On Thursday we were able to stick with the butterfly plan.  It was overcast as first, so it was a bit of a slow start, but we did see all but one of the chief targets.

Meanwhile, when I haven't been doing specials, I've been keeping an eye on my old puddle, which increased in size after more rain at the weekend.
