Today's rain was well-forecast, so the birdwatching trips were cancelled. The constant rain reminded me of Sunday morning, which was the first heavy rain we had seen in a month. A nice result of the rain was an unexpected garden visitor. We had seen him a couple of evenings earlier, but it was too dark for photography on that occasion. His coat is rather waterlogged in the pictures, so it would be nice if he could visit during a dry day. Of course nothing unusual has visited the garden in today's heavy rain.
Peering round the buddleia
Sniffing a dandelion
Exploring the garden
Staring into the camera

Giving a cheeky wink
Looking up
I suddenly realised that I've never posted April's photographs of one of our best Bluebell woods not too far away from Tophill Low. They nearly lasted a whole month this year, because of the prolonged cold snap a couple of weeks ago. However, recent reports indicate that they are now well past their best.
