Two Days into One Post

On Wednesday we should have been going to a unique location, but the forecast was terrible so we shifted to RSPB Blacktoft Sands. We saw most of the usual suspects before the weather closed in. Highlights included a female Montagu's Harrier, Bearded Tits, Black-tailed Godwits, plus a very impressive Eyed Hawk moth with its wings closed.

On Thursday we stuck with a heath near York, but it was very overcast with almost constant drizzle at first. Despite, the conditions we had 5 views of 2 different Cuckoos, too many Linnets to count, plus Yellowhammers, Whitethroats and a Reed Bunting.
