Wharram Addendum

After Saturday's blog was published another attendee sent some more photographs.  As they are of such good quality, I think they deserve a blog post of their own.  Normally my posts feature wildlife seen by my students who sign up for a 10-week course during a weekday when very other people are around.  On Saturday the attendees were joining a one-off event, and weren't used to having a guided tour of wildlife.  However, they seem to have appreciated it just as much, as those who encounter if every week.  I'm going to the same afternoon venue tomorrow, but in the morning, so it'll be interesting to see if we can track down the Redstarts.  There chances are they have moved away.
