This is my 3rd summer of using the moth trap, and this morning contained two striking beasts, which we've never had before. One seemed rather gloomy at first until I tried to move it, and it opened its wings - an Eyed-Hawk Moth. The other was smaller, which seemed a bit counter-intuitive, as its called an Elephant Hawk Moth, but it's named that because of its caterpillar, which is like an elephant's trunk. The Elephant Hawk Moth looks rather striking from below!

White Moth species
Yes to Riband Wave. The white moth is Clouded Silver. Great to see Eyed Hawk Moth. We are in our 11th year of trapping and still get surprises.
